As many North Carolina readers may have heard, actress Jennie Garth and her husband, actor Peter Facinelli are divorcing after 11 years of marriage. Facinelli, who is best-known for his role in the "Twilight" movies, filed for divorce in March. Garth is making headlines more for her weight loss than for the divorce.
Gossip columnists are criticizing her skinny frame, saying that she looks unhealthy and questioning her emotional health. According to Garth, "I've been certainly going through a transitional time in my life. And I think anybody who has been through something like what I'm going through and have been going through for the past couple years, can definitely relate that your body changes with your emotional state of mind sometimes."
Despite the weight change, the mother of three says she is working to be a positive example for her daughters. She lives on a ranch, where she says they have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables available. She said that she hopes to maintain a healthy diet in order to be a role model for her daughters.
Garth stars on her own reality show on CMT called, "Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country." On a recent episode she talked about the rejection she felt after her husband decided he wanted a divorce. She openly discussed her anger towards both herself and her husband. Fortunately, the actress has plans to move forward with her life. She is thinking about dating again and describes her current life as a brief return to adolescence.
