Reality star Jon Gosselin no longer able to pay child support

There are many advocates in North Carolina and across the U.S. who feel that alimony and child support laws need updating. It appears that former reality TV star Jon Gosselin is one of them. Once a successful star on a reality show that featured he and his now ex-wife Kate and their eight children, he can no longer afford child support.

"I am a single father who's trying to make ends meet during a recession. What do I do - pay child support or rent? I need to support my kids, but I could lose my house, and I need my home to continue to have custody," Jon said. According to a report, Kate is doing just fine financially. She has moved on to filming a new dating show in which she will travel the country looking for Mr. Right.

Meanwhile, Jon claims to have taken the high road by avoiding the spotlight and letting the curtain drop on the world of reality TV. He has no need to travel the world to meet his match, as he has fallen in love with a woman who has three children of her own.

It's hard to feel bad for the guy, who doesn't seem to think he should have to pay child support because he says that Kate doesn't need the money. After all, we all know that reality TV pays significantly more than the average job. Where did all the money go from his former reality TV gig? As Kate tours the country looking for love it looks like he may want to start a search of his own; for a real job.
